Advertising Disclosure
Transparency about how we fund the site and manage affiliate and sponsored relationships is essential to our mission. This page explains everything.
How NutriState Is Funded
We believe quality research should be free and unbiased. To keep NutriState running, we generate revenue through:
- Affiliate commissions — When you click a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This does not change your price and is disclosed on relevant articles.
- Sponsorships — We may partner with supplement brands for sponsored content, clearly labeled as such.
- Future advertising — We may display contextual ads (Google AdSense, etc.), designed to be non-intrusive.
Important: None of these revenue streams influence our editorial recommendations or rankings.
Affiliate Relationships
Many of our product recommendations include affiliate links. Here's what that means:
- We only link to products we genuinely believe offer good value.
- Affiliate status does not affect editorial rankings or recommendations.
- We disclose affiliate relationships on individual articles when present.
- You pay no extra cost when you use our links.
- Our commission helps cover research, writing, and site maintenance.
We are affiliated with Amazon Associates, Examine.com, and select supplement retailers. Commission rates vary by partner, typically 5–10%.
Sponsored Content
Occasionally, supplement brands sponsor content on NutriState. When this happens:
- The article is clearly labeled "Sponsored" at the top.
- The sponsorship does not impact editorial truth or scientific accuracy.
- We maintain the same research standards and source requirements.
- Sponsorships are disclosed in our footer and published notices.
Google AdSense & Contextual Ads
We use Google AdSense and similar contextual advertising to offset operational costs. These ads are:
- Non-intrusive and relevant to supplement content.
- Not placed in ways that manipulate reading behavior.
- Clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
Our Commitment to Integrity
Despite these revenue streams, we maintain strict editorial independence:
- Editorial autonomy: No advertiser, sponsor, or affiliate partner influences content rank or recommendations.
- Transparent disclosures: All affiliate and sponsored content is clearly marked.
- Science-first approach: We follow evidence, not revenue incentives.
- Correction policy: We correct errors promptly and transparently when discovered.
- Reader first: We design ads and sponsorships to minimize UX disruption.
